We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Trailer Repair Shop Assistant to join our team. As a vital member of our trailer repair shop, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our facility by providing essential support to our technicians and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Your attention to detail, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn will contribute to the overall success of our repair operations.

Responsibilities:

• Assist technicians with various tasks, such as repairs, maintenance, and installations on trailers of different types and sizes.
• Clean and prepare trailers for repair work, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
• Maintain tools and equipment by cleaning, organizing, and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
• Handle basic mechanical tasks, such as tire changes, fluid checks, and minor repairs under the guidance of experienced technicians.
• Support inventory management by tracking and restocking supplies, parts, and materials as needed.
• Safely move trailers within the repair shop using appropriate equipment and following established protocols.
• Assist in conducting quality checks and inspections to ensure completed repairs meet company standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, assisting with paperwork, and providing updates on repair progress when necessary.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and colleagues.
• Learn and develop technical skills related to trailer repair, with the opportunity for growth within the company.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive or mechanical fields is a plus.
• Prior experience in a similar role or basic mechanical knowledge is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
• Physical stamina to handle manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues and customers in a professional manner.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work.
